Kim is a Michigan native. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Hillsdale College, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She earned her Juris Doctorate from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School.
Kim is licensed to practice law in Michigan, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. She is also licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a Registered Patent Attorney. Kim has earned a certificate in Blockchain for Business through Cornell University. She is also a registered Public Notary and Certified Notary Signing Agent in the State of Michigan.
Kim is a 2015 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), which promotes diversity in the legal field. She is also a member of the Washtenaw County Bar Association, the Great Lakes Women's Business Council, and the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti Regional Chamber of Commerce.
